"ALATRISTE" of the Spanish movie was shown in Japan in 2008. Its DVD was released, too. The original is a Spanish best seller.
However, there was serious mistranslation in the Japanese subtitles.
Japanese people think that "Capitán" (Alatriste) decided marriage with Maria.
Of course it is an error.
this movie is the record of the soldier who respects a pride even if poor. Alatriste gave up the marriage with the beloved woman to keep the pride of the man.
This tragic love was important in a story.
